About us

There’s more to life at Metro Community Hub

Metro Community Hub is a non-profit & member-based organisation dedicated to supporting community engagement & connection for people 50 years and above. We facilitate social and peer support, community-centered programs, and provide support services to navigate the health and aged care system.

Dedicated to inclusion, we welcome people with various lived and living experiences, connections and identities to become members or to partner with us.

Join the Community

We invite all people 50 years or above to join our community and become a member to get involved in our programs and receive our services.

There are lots of ways to be a member, depending on your circumstances, interests and and how much time you have. An annual Metro Community Hub membership is $10 which includes access to member only activities, member newsletter and opportunities to get involved in planning hub events.

Metro Community Hub supports anyone over 50 years to become member and self-fund their participation in our programs. Some of our programs are subsidised by the Australian Government under various schemes, so we can keep our activities low cost and accessible.

“For me, the Hub is a brilliant light full of warmth, love, laughter, activity and security. My saviours after the loss of my husband.”

– Marian P

“I am grateful to be connected with new friends of my own age. Here there is friendship, looking after each other, outings, music appreciation and trivia….Lots to learn and experience here at Metro Community Hub. It is a way to the busy lane of a senior’s life!”

– Ester E

“A friend and I saw an advertisement in a senior’s paper about a club that had all types of entertainment and help for the aged and bus trips. So my friend and I joined the club, Metro Community Hub, it was the best thing I have done in my life…the focus is not only entertainment but help with health issues and support, and for any senior to join I’m sure they would find satisfaction and enjoyment.”
