Who We Are
Services and support dating back over 100 years
Metro Community Hub is a Brisbane based, not-for-profit organisation that specialises in supporting older people. Our program of activities helps members maintain their independence, stay involved in the community and improves their quality of life.
As we get older, our relationships with the people around us become more important. Having friends, family and communities you can rely on is the best way for older people to get more out of their lives, and Metro Community Hub is here to support that.
Our group activities are designed to keep members mobile, motivated and independent, rather than feeling alone and isolated. The programs we run include social and wellbeing classes that encourage members to make friends, participate regularly and really enjoy their lives. Some of our activities are subsidised by the Australian Governments under various schemes, so we can keep our events low cost and accessible.
The work we do is only possible with the help of our wonderful volunteers and through our connections to local organisations and businesses. We’d like to extend a huge thank you to those who continue to donate their time and effort to keep our services running.
