Monday or Wednesday
9.00 am – 4.00 pm

Venturer Bus trip: explore our beautiful Sunshine and Gold Coast, Hinterland. Transport to limited areas. Includes morning tea and lunch. We have picnic or BBQ or we visit cafes, restaurants and clubs to purchase lunch. Trips are not cancelled due to weather but we may change to an indoor venue. Bo wheel chair access in buses but walking frames and walking sticks can be accommodated. Bookings essential. Staff assign the day.
10.30 am – 12.30 pm
Morning Tea included Come Dance with Me: A dementia specific program for people in the early stages of a dementia, still living independently in the community or independent living. The program can be attended with a carer or loved one or the person can be left for respite purposes. The focus is on ability, fun and laughter, there is no right or wrong way to participate. A short assessment is required prior to assessment.
11.30 am – 12.30 pm
Tai Chi for Health Level 1 – learn Dr Paul Lamb’s gentle and relaxing tai chi to destress, unwind and balance your energy. Suitable for beginners and people with some fitness
12.45 pm – 1.45 pm

Tai Chi for Health Level 2 - Suitable for those familiar with tai chi
2.00 pm – 3.00 pm

Tai Chi for Health Strength and Alignment class: best for beginners and people wanting to improve balance and assist with alignment or rehabilitation
10.00 am – 2.00 pm
Hub Buddies Friendship Group: This activity is designed for mental stimulation which is vital for positive ageing. Come along and join in the fun, laughter and become a valued part of a caring community. Includes morning tea, lunch and activities. Bookings essential.
10.00 am – 11.30 am

Be Connected: Free computing assistance group training session
1:1 assistance: book in with one of our experienced volunteers any time Monday – Friday. Times will depend on volunteer’s availability

Aqua Aerobics:

11.00 am – 12 noon

Join us on the bus for a morning of water fitness as the new Ascot Aquatic Centre in Hamilton. Suitable for all fitness levels. Bring something comfortable to exercise in the pool and clothes to wear after, towel and water bottle. Meet us here at the Hub @ 10.00 am to get on the bus or we can pick you up (limited areas) or meet us at the pool. Bookings Essential
10.00 am – 11.30 am
Gentle Pilates with Lydia: Designed for the older person, this exercise class will strengthen your inner core muscles, leg muscles and hand and arm strength. A fun way to prevent falls, includes morning tea
11.30 am = 3.00 pm Hub Lunch Club: Visit a local restaurant or café for lunch with a great group of friends. A great way to end your week and kick off your weekend! Be prepared to laugh and enjoy yourself. Bookings Essential
