Digital Mentors Needed

Metro Community Hub has been successful in obtaining funding from the Good Things Foundation to run the Health My Way Program.

The Health My Way Program is designed to support people to find reliable health-related information and use quality on line tools that can assist to improve people's quality of life and complement support received from healthcare professionals.

We are looking for at least two people who would like to lead group presentations and/or do one on one tutoring with people on weekdays. 

Once a month MCH will hold health expo's where local people can come and get a snapshot of their current health from local health providers as well as get a taste of what support we can provide them.

Digital mentor training is provided and full support is provided from Metro Community Hub. The positions will suit people who are looking for longer term volunteering opportunities and who want to support people to improve the quality of their life.

Desired skills include knowledge of google and other search engines, download and use apps, and many other areas.

If you have had previous experience in presenting information to groups by following a defined format, we are interested in hearing from you. The program will commence in early March, compulsory training occurs in February.
